Kylie Campbell

Principal Psychologist and Founder

An experienced Psychologist, Kylie has worked for over 22 years across a range of child and adolescent settings. Committed to ensuring children and young people are heard and receive quality psychological care, Kylie leads the remarkable Kanda team.

Kylie is experienced in a range of therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, and Non Violent Resistance Therapy. Committed to growth and development, Kylie has undergone additional training in play and creative techniques, strengths based approaches, systemic theory, trauma informed frameworks, and neurodiverse affirming approaches.

Kylie also facilitates a range of psychological assessments. She is committed to making data and diagnoses meaningful, enhancing strengths, and providing helpful and practical recommendations.

Kylie is a registered Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioners Registration Board and a Board Approved Supervisor with the Psychology Board of Australia. She is a member of the Australian Association of Psychologists Incorporated (AAPi), a values-driven national peak body for psychologists. Kylie is also a registered provider with Medicare.

Outside of Kanda, Kylie is a busy “boy mum’’. She enjoys exploring beautiful walking trails, spending time with her energetic and affectionate dogs, and reading.


Melissa Bailey

Psychologist

Mel graduated with a Bachelor of Psychology from Charles Sturt University. She has worked with people across the lifespan but has a special interest and passion for working with children, teenagers, young adults, and their families. Mel’s practice is strength-based, nurturing and compassionate and she has assisted clients with a range of difficulties including depression, anxiety, stress, low self esteem, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), poor body image, procrastination, bullying, and grief and loss.

Mel is experienced in conducting psychological assessments including ADHD assessments and comprehensive educational assessments to help identify potential cognitive processing challenges and/or diagnosis of specific learning disorders. Mel is committed to supporting individuals through helpful and practical recommendations for both the family and school setting, supporting collaboration, growth, and positive change. 






Oliver Crispin

Psychologist

Oliver is a passionate and neuroaffirmative psychologist dedicated to empowering kids, teens, and young adults. With a degree from Charles Sturt University and rich experience in the Out of Home Care (OOHC) and disability sectors, Oliver brings a unique blend of creativity and playfulness to his therapy sessions. His approach is all about celebrating neurodiversity and providing an affirming space where young minds can thrive.

 Oliver carries out comprehensive autism assessments for individuals of all ages, ensuring a supportive and understanding process. As a member of the Australian Association of Psychologists Incorporated (AAPi), he stays at the forefront of compassionate care and professional development.

 Outside the office, Oliver's interests include volunteering with the NSW State Emergency Service (SES), both in the field and offering peer support, and diving into true crime podcasts. Oliver's dedication to community and curiosity about the world make him not just a psychologist, but a vibrant advocate for neurodivergent individuals and their families.


Chantelle Hitchenor

Psychologist

Chantelle graduated with a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) at Charles Sturt University in 2018. Chantelle is a dedicated and compassionate psychologist with a commitment to supporting children, young people, and families through a strengths-based approach.

With experience across diverse healthcare and social service settings, Chantelle brings a holistic and empathetic perspective to psychological care. Chantelle’s professional journey has spanned multiple dynamic environments, including child and adolescent mental health services, young people in out-of-home care and crisis accommodation services, diversional therapy, adult mental health and social housing services.

Chantelle works with a wide range of presentations, including trauma, anxiety, depression, self-harm, suicidal ideation, developmental challenges, self-esteem and anger management. Chantelle is warm, gentle, and creative and works collaboratively with parents, schools, and other organisations involved in her client’s treatment and care. Chantelle offers comprehensive psychological assessments including cognitive assessments, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) assessments and autism assessments.

As a registered psychologist with the Australian Association of Psychologists Incorporated (AAPi), Chantelle is committed to continuous professional development and providing evidence-based, compassionate care.

Outside of work, Chantelle is a wife and mother to two young children. Chantelle enjoys fishing, camping and gardening.


Tara Maher

Psychologist

Tara is a friendly and affirming psychologist who is dedicated to helping people achieve their goals and improve how they feel. She graduated with a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) from Charles Sturt University in 2016.

Tara is experienced in providing psychological services to children and young people. She has experience working with most mental health presentations including anxiety, OCD, depression, anger, self-esteem, stress, perfectionism, self-harm and suicidal ideation, ADHD and autism. She has a particular passion for and interest in obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) and anxiety disorders.

Her approach is strengths based and client focused. She draws on cognitive behavioural therapy, exposure response prevention, dialectical behaviour therapy, mindfulness, motivational interviewing and acceptance and commitment therapy. She ensures her work is always identity and neuro-affirming.

Tara also provides comprehensive assessments including educational, psychological, cognitive, and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) assessments. She is excited to soon be offering autism assessment. 

Outside of work Tara loves her dog, reading mystery and fantasy books and trying out random hobbies including puzzles, embroidery, roller-skating, pottery and caring for houseplants amongst some of the many she has tried (but not stuck to). 


Stephanie Bredin

Psychologist

Stephanie graduated with a Master of Professional Psychology and a Master of Clinical Psychology from Charles Sturt University. Steph is soon to commence her registrar program through AHPRA to gain an endorsement as a clinical psychologist. 

Steph’s experience includes working in rural and regional areas with people across the lifespan, with a focused interest in supporting children and young people. Steph’s therapeutic approach integrates evidence-based modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive and Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to assist clients with a range of difficulties including anxiety, low mood, stress, school avoidance, and low self-esteem.

Steph is experienced in conducting comprehensive and neuro-affirming assessments, including those that investigate characteristics of autism, ADHD, cognitive difficulties, and specific learning disorders.

 Outside of being a psychologist, Steph has a love for all animals (especially cats), travelling, and watching the most dramatic reality TV shows she can find.


Elise Rumble

Psychologist

Elise is a psychologist who holds a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) from Charles Sturt University and a Master of Professional Psychology from Flinders University. She has experience working across the lifespan in adult mental health, disability, and educational settings, with a particular passion for supporting children and young people.

Elise is committed to providing neurodiversity affirming practice and draws on a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches to support individuals experiencing a range of challenges anxiety, stress, low mood, behavioural issues, and low self-esteem.

Elise also offers comprehensive psychological assessments including cognitive, ADHD, and educational assessments. 

Outside of her work as a psychologist, Elise enjoys reading, spending time with her cat, and travelling.


Jess Lawlor

Team Leader - Client Experience Officer

Jess brings to our team over 25 years of Administrative and Customer focussed experience across a variety of industries including local government, agriculture and medical. Her work passion is people and being informed! Her role at Kanda will ensure all our clients are warmly welcomed, they have the information they need every step of the way from intake to appointments, and any concerns or questions are dealt with in a reasonable time. She also has a love of little people and their strengths, and is more than happy to engage in lego or drawing - perhaps even taking song requests while your little one is waiting. Outside of work, Jess is a mum to an adult daughter, and two primary boys! When she isn’t at basketball or soccer games, she loves walking the lake with her dog and having brunch with her friends.


Madison Heath

Client Experience Officer

Maddi’s smile will be one of the first that you see when you visit the practice. She brings a wealth of experience with a Certificate 3 in Accounts Administration and a mixture of administration and working with children experience. Maddi is warm, helpful, and alongside Jess, will ensure you and your child or young person feel at ease every step of your journey. Outside of work, Maddi is busy studying her Bachelor of Social Science (Psychology). When she isn’t studying she enjoys going to the gym, taking her dog on walks, cooking, chilling out watching reality television and going out with her friends.
